In 1969, Judi Sheppard Missett conceived of a fun dance-fitness class that evolved into Jazzercise. Following a move to southern California three years later, where Jazzercise became an instant hit, Judi began training new instructors and developed Jazzercise into a franchise business. This led to the rapid spread of Jazzercise around the globe. Today, Jazzercise is the world's leading dance-fitness program with more than 7,800 instructors teaching 32,000 classes weekly in the U.S. and around the globe.
