In September of 2010, I got my life back when I joined Jazzercise. After many years without seeing my doctor, I found out I had high blood pressure, high liver enzymes, and my good cholesterol was low while my bad cholesterol was high. My doctor said I might need to be put on medication to correct my poor health. She also told me I would be considered obese, it devastated me. I was now an obese mother of two suffering from medical conditions set in from being overweight. After six months of going to Jazzercise, my good cholesterol was up, and my blood pressure, bad cholesterol and liver enzymes were back to normal levels. My resting heart rate had gone from 96 beats per minute to 64 beats per minute and to top it all off I weighed in at 176 pounds. My doctor told me that I wouldn't need any medication. Now 16 months later I'm the happiest I've been in years. I've gone from a 22 pant size to a size 8. I started out weighing in at 217 pounds now I weigh 150 pounds. I do have to say when I'm jazzercising, I'm having the time of my life and I'm continuing to stay healthy at the same time.

After yo-yoing from diet to diet and fitness program to fitness program, I had gained weight and lost weight and wasn't able to stick with a regimen that felt right for me. I finally came to Jazzercise in January 2006, weighing nearly 330 pounds, by January 2008, Jazzercise and healthy eating with Weight Watchers allowed me to drop to 150 pounds. In total, I lost 180 pounds and feel amazing! I now set a great example for my children with a healthy lifestyle. I was featured in People Magazine for losing over half my body weight and aspire to be a Jazzercise instructor some day soon! Thank you Jazzercise!

A friend of mine had been doing Jazzercise for 3 years and we all marveled at how she kept her figure. Jazzercise had a special sale and I decided to give it a shot. Within the first few weeks of going to my Jazzercise class I saw noticeable differences and I loved how weight training was incorporated into the end. Unfortunately life got in the way in December and I started slacking a bit and bounced back up. The "Jazzercise Jazz It Off" promo came back around in the spring I very hesitantly decided to join again. In the first week I lost over 7lbs. This set off a slightly competitive streak in me and in the end drove me to where I am now, which is where I never thought I'd be, down 67lbs!

In February of 2007, I was an avid "Jazzerciser." At the age of 24 I was diagnosed with pulmonary emboli, causing blood clots in my lungs. One day I awoke with severe pain in my right shoulder, and thought I had just pulled a muscle. Before I knew it, I was being driven to the hospital where I was later diagnosed with multiple pulmonary emboli; each of the five lobes of my lungs had been affected. I was told there were over 30 blood clots in my lungs and a good portion my lungs were not functioning. My nurse informed me that the average person with this condition would be rushed to ICU, but because I was in such great shape my oxygen levels had remained between a 97% and a 99% the entire time I had been in the hospital, I would make a speedy recovery outside of ICU. I told her that I Jazzercise on a regular basis, and that I had gone to class the night before, and she told me that the fact that I had done that session of Jazzercise had saved my life. The increased blood flow had prevented me from having more blood clots.
Today I am an instructor, and Jazzercise will be a lifelong commitment. It is really great for you, both inside and out!

To say that Jazzercise has changed my life would be an understatement. I feel Jazzercise has given me my life back, given me a new life, and has also saved my life. In December of 2009 my mother gave me the Jazzercise 12 Days of Fitness. At the time I was wearing a tight size 14 pants, smoking almost a pack of cigarettes a day, and had high blood pressure. Now, in a little over a year, I've lost 35 pounds, and am still losing. I'm wearing a size 6 to 8 and I'm a non-smoker. My blood pressure is regulated, and I'm a certified Jazzercise instructor! At Jazzercise I was able to work at my own pace, and build my stamina. After 3 months I knew I had to quit smoking, because my goal was to be able to follow along with the instructors and do the steps without stopping to huff and puff. I knew Jazzercise was worth it. I knew Jazzercise was different and something that I wanted to be a part of. Smoking is known as one of the hardest addictions to overcome, but cigarettes have nothing on my Jazzercise addiction! I am a true Jazzercise Junkie and I can not wait to motivate others to make changes.

My name is Donna and I am an instructor in New Jersey. I must first say thank you to Jazzercise for being such an inspiration to me. I am 39 years old and about 12 years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic disease of the central nervous system which affects your brain, spinal cord and nervous system causing loss of balance, coordination, vision, numbness, weakness and so much more. There is no cure for this devastating disease. At one point I even depended on a cane for walking. With that said, I started Jazzercise three years ago and within a few months I started to feel better, not just physically but emotionally as well. My balance began to improve as well as my coordination. I was then approached to become an instructor, no one at this point had any idea that I suffered from MS. I am now an instructor and share my story with my customers. They say that I am an inspiration to them, but actually it's the other way around, they are my inspiration and I love being able to make a difference in someone's life and show them that they can achieve anything they want. It's so nice to be able to inspire someone in the same way Jazzercise has inspired me.

Some people would say I am obsessed with Jazzercise, but I just found something that works! It helps me to achieve my weight loss/health goals while having FUN. I have lost 46 pounds since I started Jazzercise just months ago from 181 pounds to 135 pounds and still going. About a year before I started Jazzercise I weighed 235 pounds. I was miserable and missing out on a lot of things in life, I was wearing a size 26. I made a decision to make a life style change. I started walking and eating healthier and lost 54 pounds but I began to slow down on losing weight and it was getting harder to be motivated and exercise on my own. My sister told me about Jazzercise and I gave it a try, not sure what to expect. At age 36 with three children and working a full time job (45 miles away from home) you would think my plate is full, but going to Jazzercise just makes life a lot easier. After class I have more energy than when I started. I always leave feeling stress free and in a good mood, which carries with me all day long.

I started Jazzercise in August of 2008. I finally decided that I could not buy another pair of jeans that were going up in size. So I tried a Jazzercise class with a free pass that was given to me, and I had so much fun. I then decided to sign up. At first I went about three times a week, but now I'm going about 4-5 times a week. I went from a pant size 12 to 7/8. I feel so much better about myself, and I have more energy. I have lost a total of 15 pounds, and I'm still going. I love putting on my clothes now without them clinging to me. Now they’re so loose on me I have got to go buy new clothes, it's a great feeling. I am definitely going to keep Jazzercising.

At any event, Jazzercise means the world to me. I have been consistently going to class for the past 11 years. I began my venture in Omaha, NE but find that I love to visit a lot of facilities. I work in an industry which is dominated by men so going to Jazzercise is the place where I develop my female relationships. It is refreshing to go some where when others look like you big, small, old, young, and any nationality, we are there. The thing I love the most about Jazzercise is no matter where you attend, people are the same - friendly. People are always extending a hand to help others not only in class but also the community. Jazzercise also keeps me up with the latest music. Going to Jazzercise allows me a chance to dance like no one is watching to a variety of styles from funk (my favorite), blues, gospel, country, and mainstream. My ultimate goal is to become an instructor because I love it that much that I would like to be an inspiration to others. Jazzercise has helped me gain my life back. The hardest part is just going to your first class. After that I promise you will be hooked.

At 220 lbs (and only 5'4!) I decided to take action. I changed my diet and began walking daily. I was thrilled to lose 60 pounds and be back to a weight I had known most of my life. However, coming from a dance background, I wanted to do something I really enjoyed. I first became acquainted with Jazzercise at the center in Fairbanks Alaska in 2004. It was love at first chassé! The instructors in Fairbanks were full of energy and funk and their amazing sets had me coming to classes on a regular basis. The added strength training in the regular class and the Personal Touch program began to change my body significantly. Over the course of the year I lost an additional 30 pounds and felt better than I had in 10 years! It turns out I don't have a large frame, I just needed the combination of exercises and the motivation that Jazzercise provides - I was truly shocked by the results! Jazzercise is an important part of my life. It helped me get fit and appreciate what a healthy lifestyle has to offer. Now as an instructor I have been amazed at how quickly Jazzercise customers gain new kinds of confidence and push themselves to new levels of fitness. I am happy to be passing it on.

I came back to Jazzercise in January 2010 to get in shape and shed some pounds for my upcoming wedding. Upon walking into my first Jazzercise class I was offered the opportunity to take the "Bikini Body Pilates Style" class, while I was reluctant to sign up at first, I am so glad I did. The combination of stretching and controlled core strengthening exercises left me pleasantly sore and feeling like I immediately stood inches taller. I am happy to say that the combination of "Bikini Body Pilates Style" and Jazzercise helped me to lose 25 lbs. in just a few months!

I thoroughly enjoyed the "Bikini Body Pilates Style" classes! Having gone loyally to Pilates classes before and keeping a Pilates machine (reformer) in my home, I appreciated the discipline. I found the "Bikini Body" classes to be very challenging and fun! The core strengthening and stretching were a fantastic compliment to my regular Jazzercise classes, leaving me highly energized. Everyone also noticed my weight loss and muscle tone. Thank you Jazzercise!

I have struggled with a thyroid problem for years and was told it would be difficult to lose weight. I was in my car one day, on the verge of tears, after a shopping trip where I realized I had gone up another size to a 22. I looked at the passenger seat and saw the Jazzercise Forever Fit flyer and made the call that literally changed my life. Within six months I had lost 50 pounds. I am now a size 14 and still shrinking! My self esteem has skyrocketed, I feel beautiful for the first time in years, I am able to literally chase my 4-year-old around the park and it’s much easier to date and be out in the world now that I feel great. |

Prior to finding Jazzercise and Forever Fit, I gained 20 pounds and went up three pant sizes. Overall, I wasn't healthy. One day I received a Jazzercise Forever Fit post card. This was a sign. It was a three month program with weigh-ins, seminars, and even a Personal Touch training class. Jazzercise allowed me to work at my own pace. I was excited to go to class. The Forever Fit program pushed me to succeed...and it worked. I lost 16 pounds and my body fat went down 5.8 percent. I feel like an entirely new person and it's wonderful. The Forever Fit program was only the beginning though. I continued going to Jazzercise and continued to lose weight! I loved Jazzercise so much that I even became an instructor! I want Jazzercise to change others' lives like it did mine. Take the time out for yourself - you deserve it! |

In just the few short months that I have started Jazzercise and the Forever Fit program, it has changed my life. I have lost over 15 pounds and 9 inches! I feel better than I ever have before. I even look better than I did before having my son! I never thought an exercise program could be so much fun and rewarding at the same time. All of the instructors challenge us to work to our highest potential so we can get optimal results. They truly care about each person that comes in to work out. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to lose some weight or just get into shape.

I lost 12 pounds, 9 inches, and 2 pant sizes in just 12 weeks. I’ve tried exercising videos, strenuous boot camp workouts, and even a personal trainer and none of these gave me the results I got with Jazzercise. I am now a 52-year-old grandmother of two – wearing a size 4! My energy level has improved, the stretching exercises improved my aches and pains, and my cholesterol levels have improved. I am big advocate of Jazzercise. |

Jazzercise has given me years back to my life. Help came in a post card right to my mailbox, just when I needed it most! I started the Forever Fit Program the next day. That was eight months ago…and six pants sizes ago! The combined cardio, stretch, and strength training that I found at Jazzercise is unsurpassed. The certified instructors and trainers are committed to staying true to the program’s vision and choreography, which gives it a unique consistency that is the hallmark of its success. Sometimes it takes a team of professionals to remind you to “take care of yourself.” The people make the program, and the program makes us feel like a family. Veteran Personal Trainers and Instructors Chere van Ligten and Shanna Missett Nelson coached me, reminded me about proper body alignment & technique, and also about sensible eating. No fads. No gimmicks. Just PURE FUN! The choreography is always fresh; the music is always hot. I guess there’s nothing wrong with feeling like you’re 20-something especially when you’re 40-something. I believe in the Jazzercise mission so much that I am training to become a certified instructor this spring. |
